Updated 18 October 2026
Chat
- Open Agent in the left menu.
- Type your question in the box and press Enter.
- Use + to attach an image, a photo or a document.
Talk
- Tap the voice button (the sound-wave icon) next to the message box.
- Allow microphone access the first time.
- Speak naturally. Tap End when you're done.
Voice notes
Tap the microphone to dictate a message instead of typing it.
In the apps
- Tap the agent island to open chat.
- Long press it for a menu: Chat, Voice chat or Meeting taker.
Sharing a link, document or photo in voice
If you ask the agent to look at a website, document or picture, it pops up a box so you can paste the link or add the file without leaving the call. You can also tap the paperclip on the voice screen at any time.
Typing tips
- On desktop, Shift + Enter starts a new line and Enter sends.
- When you start typing, the voice button turns into a send arrow. Clear the box and it goes back to voice.
Busy places: hold to talk
Somewhere noisy, like a café or an open-plan office? Tap the hand icon next to mute and attach on the voice screen. A Hold to talk button appears:
- Your agent only listens while you hold it, and replies when you let go.
- Press it while your agent is talking to cut in.
- Tap the hand again to go back to hands-free. The app remembers your choice.
On phones, voice chat also uses a close-talk noise filter, so voices further away from the mic are tuned out. See Use voice in busy places.
Sending more while your agent is working
You don't have to wait. Keep typing and press send: each message shows Queued and your agent picks them all up together as soon as it finishes the current reply.
